Insights into the Development of GETT North America: On the Road to Success

The development of GETT North America is in full swing, with each day bringing new challenges – and opportunities. Our journey to establish a new production facility in the United States is not only an exciting adventure but also a valuable lesson in organisation, teamwork, and adapting to a new market. For those planning similar ventures, we’re sharing some of our daily experiences today.

A Day Full of Challenges – and Progress

The day started early, as usual – this time with a management meeting. Together with our team, we reflected on what we’ve achieved over the past weeks. It’s impressive to see how quickly our production facility is taking shape. The idea of producing not only for the European market but also directly for the US market is becoming increasingly tangible.

Meanwhile, we awaited the technicians from Chill Brothers Air Conditioning Company. In Houston, where summers are relentlessly hot, a functioning air conditioning system is essential. Occasionally, the local infrastructure challenges us, whether it’s with air conditioning units or the warehouse door, which desperately needed repairs. But it’s precisely these challenges that make the process so dynamic – every resolved issue brings us one step closer to our goal.

Local Partnerships as the Key to Success

A highlight of the day was our meeting with Rathsburg, our sales agency. Rathsburg is more than just a partner for us; they are our extended arm in the US market. With 16 experienced sales representatives strategically covering key states, they help us position our products even better. Their support is crucial, especially in the lead-up to the IMTS trade show, where we’ll showcase our products and establish valuable connections.

This meeting underscored once again the importance of local networks when establishing a foothold in a new market. Rathsburg combines technical expertise with deep market knowledge, making it easier for us to implement our vision locally.

Multitasking and Setting Priorities

Meanwhile, other projects continued simultaneously: our marketing agency was coordinating appointments for the trade show, and our IT team was managing new systems and security cameras. It’s impressive to see how well we’re keeping all the threads together despite the multitude of tasks. Of course, there are always unexpected moments – like the snake that once entered through a broken warehouse door. Thankfully, the doors are now repaired, and we’ve got such surprises under control.

Lessons from Our Journey

Building GETT North America is an adventure that offers us fresh perspectives every day. What stands out most is the importance of local expertise, strong partnerships, and the ability to adapt. The US is a vast market full of opportunities, but it also comes with unique characteristics that must be understood and respected.

For companies considering similar steps, perhaps our most valuable advice is: find the right partners and learn from those who have already paved the way. There’s nothing more valuable than being able to rely on a strong network and proven processes.

Looking Ahead

At the end of the day, when we review our to-do list and see how much we’ve accomplished, we know all the effort is worth it. The US market is not easy, but the opportunities are immense – and we’re ready to seize them.

Stay tuned for more insights into the development of GETT North America. We’re excited to share our journey with you – and perhaps offer a tip or two that could be helpful for you as well!
