Technologies for hygiene sensitive areas

We have been implementing individual operating solutions at the man-machine interface for over 24 years

conditions prevailing in hygiene-critical environments, such as medicine, pharmacy, laboratories and care facilities. The devices used there are subject to particularly high requirements.

Operation must be precise, safe and intuitive. The most important criterion is complete cleanability and disinfectability to prevent contamination and germ transfer. At the same time, the equipment must be protected against the ingress of dust, germs, and liquids and grease.

Are you unsure which technology is the right one? We will be happy to advise you!

Our technologies for hygiene sensitive areas

Contactless technologies

CONTACTLESS TECHNOLOGIES

Optical controls NEW

The contactless switch works by means of a special technology and has three different states: standby, approach and triggering. These are visualized by brightness and color. The non-contact operation of the switch is possible with and without gloves and ensures maximum hygiene at the point of use.

All advantages at a glance:

  • Contactless, contamination-free activation
  • Very good EMC properties
  • Wipeable in functional operation
  • Wear-free
  • Attractive features: variable triggering distance, backlighting, multicolor (LED)
Voice control NEW

With the help of this technology, operation is intuitive – hands and eyes focus on the essentials. The user does not come into contact with the operating technology. Voice control works without a connection to the Internet. This keeps data private and secure.

All advantages at a glance:

  • Non-contact triggering
  • Contamination-free and sterile operation
  • Live documentation of tasks and processes
  • Particularly fast operation; precise commands and cumbersome menu navigation are unnecessary or eliminated
  • Integration of technology also suitable for lightweight, mobile devices

LOW-TOUCH TECHNOLOGIES
(TOUCH, MULTITOUCH)

Capacitive Button

Compared to mechanical buttons, capacitive pushbuttons are flat, mechanically wear-free, easy to clean and disinfect, visually appealing, and easily integrated into existing systems. Capacitive styli use individual sensors that generate electric fields. This field penetrates a variety of materials. The most popular is glass.

All advantages at a glance:

  • Individual adjustment of key sensitivity; enables low-touch operation
  • Very good resistance to chemicals and dirt
  • Mechanically wear-free
  • Attractive features: Backlighting, multi-color (LED)
Low-Touch technologies
the classics

The classics

Silicone keyboards

Silicone mats are particularly durable, reliable and have almost unlimited design possibilities. Colors and shapes of the keycaps are freely definable. Silicone mats are made of highly elastic, toxin-free silicone rubber.

All advantages at a glance:

  • Robust surface
  • Resistant to water, dust or oil
  • Completely washable with common cleaning agents and disinfectants
  • High abrasion resistance
  • Installation through adhesive layer on the back
Foil Keypads

Membrane keypads are the most commonly used input elements in device and apparatus engineering – they are still among the first choice in medical environments. In addition to classic key embossing, resin-based haptic feedback or the application of a haptic varnish is also possible. In most cases, membrane keyboards are integrated into systems by gluing them in place.

All advantages at a glance:

  • Robust surface
  • Flat installation depth
  • Space-saving, compact control panels can be realized
  • Attractive features: Liquid-repellent coatings, lighting options, use of UL certified materials
