GETT NA at HIMSS – Seizing Opportunities and Overcoming Challenges in the US Market
The HIMSS in Las Vegas was once again an impressive event, providing us with an excellent platform as one of the most important trade fairs in the healthcare technology sector. It enabled us to successfully present our products, establish valuable new contacts, and deepen existing partnerships.

For transporting our extensive trade show equipment – including our booth, products, giveaways, and brochures – we collaborated with a new logistics provider for the first time. While maintaining our long-standing partnership with our previous provider, we wanted to explore new options beneficial to both parties. Our new partner turned out to be an excellent choice, bringing extensive international shipping experience and deep expertise in customs issues and logistical challenges. Reliable logistics are crucial for trade fairs in the USA, as delays or customs complications can be costly.
Even beyond the trade fair environment, we consistently experience notable differences between the USA and Europe – for instance, in pest control. We have now established a regular service contract for our new warehouse in Houston. Unlike Germany, proactive preventive measures here are essential.

There’s more good news: During the exhibition, we secured initial contracts with European customers interested in leveraging our distribution network as well as our warehousing and logistics services. For European companies aiming to enter or expand in the US market, this creates excellent opportunities.
However, current US trade policy also brings challenges, especially following recent adjustments to the Section 301 tariffs via presidential executive order. Some products now face increased tariffs of up to 45%. Many companies, including ours, must adapt their pricing strategies accordingly.
Nevertheless, this situation presents significant opportunities: An increasing number of companies are recognizing the benefits of manufacturing in the USA, reducing dependency on imports from China and mitigating associated risks and costs. The demand for "Made in USA" products is steadily rising, making local production a critical success factor for European companies.
This is exactly where we can support you: GETT NA offers comprehensive, one-stop solutions – from sales and logistics to manufacturing your products directly in the USA. Together, we can strategically leverage these market changes for your growth in the US.
